International Women’s Day and a Day without Women: Resistance as Love

Celebrating a day without women and international women’s day in New York

What is this women’s strike thing…? And does that mean I can take the day off…? (Who invents these things anyways???) Not against anyone’s cause (well since I don’t understand the cause – ha!) it’s just that tonight it’s popping up everywhere and I’ve never heard of it….

Because of the recent hateful comments made by Tucker Carlson on Fox News and because of his show last night where he had a power point on the history of slavery and has minimized it and the racial violence in Charlottesville, I have taken this down.

I will be writing a blog on what’s happened in Charlottesville over the weekend and about how the President of the United States, #DonaldTrump, in the name of moral relativity, has failed, as a President, to provide moral leadership during this time.  I do not condone the President’s comments or attitude towards what happened, nor do I condone Tucker Carlson and his dog whistles that encourage neonazi’s white supremacists, and the alt right.

I do believe in non-violence and resisting hatred with love.  However, I will call out bigotry where I see it.  I will not be silent.
